2013 Kickoff and Code Sharing

Let's wax technological achievements of 2012 and share some of what we got done, or just started. If it's code for a startup that's fine, but no decks and no startup pitches. We want to hear about the code and problems you had to solve and why you chose the technologies you did. This invitation will be extended only to members who have been to previous meetups or have a verifiable love of programming (i.e. Github account). Don't be all worried about it being a presentation, it's not really, you're just sharing your code with friends.

Please message me through meetup or email me at [masked] if you want to share your code.

UPDATE: Just show up and share your code, no pressure.

Code Sharing will start at 9:00 after we settle in and order Pizza, as we will also have the usual format . What is the usual format? You will just join a small group of programmers to talk, code and be merry with. Make sure to bring your laptop as we will be coding. Feel free to bring food, tea, beer, etc... to share. We will be ordering pizza together around 8:00. There is no end time as we will be coding until we feel the need to leave.

Hope to see you all in Dumbo on a cold Wednesday in January, 2013!

I demo'd an educational card-game, "Eleusis" at this meetup. Later, some interest was expressed in collaborating on a submission to an upcoming educational software competition. Today, I was informed of the "Global Game Jam" (http://globalgamejam.org/) -- a hackathon. I just signed up for the version of it taking place next weekend here in NYC (http://globalgamejam.org/sites/...), in case anybody is interested in participating in it, too
