One of R's strengths is the ease with which well-designed publication-quality plots can be produced, including mathematical symbols and formulae where needed. Great care has been taken over the defaults for the minor design choices in graphics, but the user retains full control. R is available as Free Software under the terms of the Free …

I'm starting this group so that people who love to try new technology (software, etc) can combine resources and more quickly gain access to new tools. The idea is that everyone will pick some software or platform of interest and spend a little time installing it and playing. Then when we meet we can describe how useful the technology is. Anyone who loves to play with technology should join.
We are a bunch of people who program in php and work in web development. I hope we'll see you at a meeting soon!
